Overview

Video Download Manager is a browser extension that detects open MP4 and unencrypted HLS media requests on the active tab so users can download authorized media files. We collect only the information needed to provide licensing, support, and product functionality.

Extension data

Detected media URLs, titles, thumbnails, and download status are stored locally in the browser unless a user chooses a paid licensing or support workflow that requires account verification.

To protect the free download limit from simple reinstall abuse, the extension may send a generated install identifier to our server. We store hashed install and network identifiers with a daily download count; raw IP addresses and detected media URLs are not stored for this quota check.

Payment data

Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy. We do not store full card numbers. Lemon Squeezy may provide us with customer email, order, subscription, and license status data so the extension can verify paid access.

Support data

If you contact support, we may use your email address and the information you provide to answer your request and resolve product issues.

Restrictions

The product is not designed to bypass DRM, authentication, paywalls, or platform rules. Users are responsible for confirming they have permission to download each file.
